AXIOM BIO
Axiom Bio is a scientific software company building cloud-based tools that transform manual, operator-dependent laboratory analysis workflows into automated, reproducible, and fully auditable processes. We specialise in quantitative bioimage analysis — developing validated platforms that deliver the same biological readouts researchers trust, with measurably higher throughput and zero operator variability. Our mission is to eliminate the gap between what laboratories measure and what they can reproduce. Every product we build is validated against established laboratory protocols and benchmarked against expert human analysis before deployment. We operate across Ireland and Spain, working directly with research laboratories to co-develop and validate our tools in real experimental environments.
Automated measurement pipelines for specific biological assays, validated against manual expert protocols and designed for direct integration into research workflows.
End-to-end automation of analysis processes that are currently manual, fragmented, and difficult to reproduce across operators, experiments, and laboratories.
Scalable processing architecture with structured data management, complete audit trails, and multi-tenant security — built for research-grade reproducibility.
Language-model-powered experiment reporting, intelligent error triage, and natural-language data interaction — layered on top of a deterministic quantitative core.
Automated quantitative analysis of immunological synapse polarity
SYN APSE is our first product — a cloud-based platform that replaces fragmented manual workflows built on Fiji/ImageJ with end-to-end automated cell segmentation, synapse identification, spatial bisection, and polarity quantification from confocal microscopy images. It delivers the same biological readouts that immunologists rely on — faster, with complete reproducibility, and with full analytical traceability.
Multi-channel confocal analysis output
Every measurement is identical every time. No operator variability, no training-dependent drift, no unreported methodological differences between analysts or laboratories.
Workflows that take an experienced researcher minutes per sample complete in seconds — with unsupervised batch processing of entire experimental datasets.
Every result carries full analytical provenance: algorithm version, processing parameters, and diagnostic data. Publication-ready and audit-ready from day one.
Automate complex imaging analysis workflows and ensure reproducibility across experiments, operators, and publications.
Standardise quantitative imaging pipelines across multiple research groups, instruments, and experimental protocols.
Quantify cell interactions, spatial organisation, and functional phenotypes at scale for mechanistic and translational studies.
Characterise effector cell function with validated, high-throughput imaging analysis during product development and quality assessment.
Deliver consistent, auditable imaging endpoints across multi-site studies with standardised, cloud-based analysis infrastructure.
Replace fragile internal scripts and manual ImageJ-based processes with maintained, validated, cloud-native analysis platforms.
The immunological synapse is our entry point, not our destination. The analytical framework behind SYN APSE — cell segmentation, spatial partitioning, polarity quantification, cell-cell interaction analysis — applies to a broad range of spatial cell biology questions.
Immunological synapse polarity
MTOC polarization · MVB redistribution · Colocalization
Spatial cell biology · Multi-organelle phenotyping · Translational workflows
Built for defined biological workflows, not as a general-purpose image tool.
All measurements from auditable algorithms. No black-box AI in the analytical pipeline.
Scalable infrastructure with structured data, row-level security, and multi-tenant isolation.
Benchmarked against manual analysis by trained immunologists in a formal R&R study.
Same image, same result. Every time. Zero intra-algorithm variability.
Not scripts. Not macros. A complete, maintained software product with versioned releases.
Whether you're exploring a pilot project, evaluating the platform for your laboratory, or interested in a research collaboration — we'd welcome the conversation.
